Sad to Say Farewell

Thank you everyone for coming to the Creative Challenge Club.  I am so glad to hear that you all had a wonderful experience in the club.  I enjoyed working with every single one of you.  You all have so many unique and special qualities that made the club truly enjoyable.  I hope you will remember to always think and be creative in your future endeavors.  Enjoy the rest of your school year and don't forget to pop in and say hello  :)

Theme:  Debate
Bring to Class:  Please research and bring notes to support your position (affirmative/negative).  Remember to think about the cross-examination questions and answers.

Week 2 (April 22 and 23)

Week 2:  Monday, April 22
Theme:  Debate
Bring to class:  Notes for the debate

Please research on your topic for both the affirmative and the negative position.  Find at least three reasons supporting each side.  However, it will help your team to have more than three reasons incase you cannot use one of them during the debate.  Print neatly or type out your notes to hand in on Monday. (You can also send it to me on a blog)

Week 1 (April 15 and 16)

Week 1:  Monday, April 15
Theme:  Mad Scientist
Bring to class: one small plastic container/tupperware (like butter or yogurt container).  The container will be returned in good condition.
Optional: Students are encouraged to dress up like a Mad Scientist.  For example: crazy hair, glasses, and a lab coat which can simply be an oversized white dressed shirt with the sleeves rolled up.  Be creative.


Week 2:  Tuesday, April 16
Theme:  Engineering
Bring to class:  one boiled egg (shell not cracked)
Optional:  Students are encouraged to dress up like an engineer / builder.  For example:  hard hat, t-shirt, jeans, tool belt, boots, orange vest.  Be creative.

Themes have not yet been selected for that last few classes because they will be designed according to the students' interests and inputs.
